Frequently Asked Questions:
Question:
Do you recommend adding plants to the top of the Melody waterfall/filter? Its got a hole in each of the 6 cover chambers, but Im not sure what could be planted (since the cover sags a little and needs to be removed periodically to clean the filters).
Easy Pro Answer:
Some like to cut the holes out and place potted plants in the holes
Customer Question:
The instructions for the Tempo Skimmer show an external pump to be used to pump water to the spillway. What type of pump exactly do I need? type, etc.
Easy Pro Answer:
The Tempo skimmer itself is not big enough to hold a pump inside of it. It is designed to hang on the side of the pond and a submersible pump can be attached to the barb fitting that comes with it. The maximum flow rate the skimmer can handle is 1800 gallons per hour. Our EP1750 would be the largest pump that could be used with it. The MP1000 would work as well though the flow rate is a bit less than the EP1750. Here is a link to the manual for the Tempo skimmer.
