Aquascape Alkalinity Booster increases the overall KH/pH and alkalinity values of pond water.
KH or alkalinity levels are important in maintaining a stable pH and aiding in proper nitrifi cation.
Low alkalinity can also be an issue when using products like the Aquascape IonGen™.
The added phosphate binder will bond with phosphate and precipitate and drop the phosphate out of solution resulting in cleaner, crystal-clear pond water.
Instructions for use
How much: Add one scoop for every 100 gallons of pond water; treatment rate depends on current alkalinity/KH.
How often: We recommend adding no more than one dose every 24 hours until desired levels are achieved.
How to: Simply broadcast the powder evenly across the pond surface using the included measuring scoop.
Please note: If current alkalinity/KH is extremely low, pH will be increased quickly. We recommend building the alkalinity/KH slowly as a rapid increase in pH may cause stress to pond fish.
