Continuous pond vacuum with power discharge.

1500 gallon per hour vacuum-exhaust capacity. This contractor grade continuous vacuum is designed to vacuum large ponds. The innovative “Power-Cyclone” has two motors.

The suction motor will vacuum up to 1500 gph. The internal discharge motor is 1 HP and is capable of discharging your dirty water under pressure up to 18 feet in elevation.

The motors are balanced in flow rate so vacuum job is continuous without interruption. The 6 foot extension pipe combines with 26 feet of suction hose allowing for easy handling during even your biggest pond vacuum jobs. 4 different size vacuum heads are included.

Debris is vacuumed into the 13 gallon holding tank whereby large solids are collected into a pre-filter bag first. The dirty water is then pumped out to waste by the action of the internal 1 HP sludge pump. 32 ft of exhaust hose allows the waste water to be pumped to any elevation up to 18 feet high. Total working distance is over 60 feet. An optional secondary exhaust hose can be added onto the end of the discharge hose to gain an additional 32 ft if needed.

Note* Do not return dirty water to the pond. Pump dirty water to your garden or proper drainage system! Heavy Duty wheels perform over rough terrain & the Tote Handle makes maneuvering easy.

This innovative “Power” vacuum is very versatile and can be used in a variety of applications.

  • Pond Cleanouts
  • Filter Tank Cleanouts
  • Basement Floods
  • Household Carpet Floods

Customer Comment from Katharine F on 7/14/16:

I am using the Matala Cyclone Vac and could not be happier. It has enabled us to clean a large cement pond that I couldn't pay someone to tackle the job.

Question:

What about gravel in the pond?

Matala Answer:

Please check out the Matala Gravel Vacuum Head for Matala Pond Vacs and watch the video at Matala Gravel Guard

Question:

What Vacuum should I use for my 4 ponds that total 2500 gallons connected with two creeks that are only 3" to 6" deep and a total of 50' long. The problem we seem to face with our ponds is depth related as the vacuums need to be submerged to a certain depth in order to have suction and the water feature has a large amount of surface area that is shallow.

Matala USA Answer:

From your approximate dimensions you may have 2500 gallons total between the two ponds.

We have 4 vacuums to choose from total but really two types.

First type is the On/Off auto cycle vac. The vacuum fills with dirty water and turns off to drain out for 20 to 3o seconds and then comes back on automatically to continue vacuuming.

If you choose this type I feel you would be the most happy with the Pond Vac “Pro”. It is the largest in this series and would be a good choice for this size pond. It is certainly strong enough and does not depend on a minimum water depth to work.

The second type is the continuous discharge “Power-Cyclone” It is contractor grade and has two motors.

The intake motor will vacuum up to 1500 gallons per hour and the internal discharge motor continuous discharges under pressure. This makes it easy to drain your waste even to an uphill location. There is nothing like this vacuum on the market. It is a little expensive but well worth the results.

Question:

Customer has a Pond-o-vac Classic Vacuum. Will the Gravel Guard work with it?

Matala Answer:

I believe you mean the Gravel Vacuum Head. Gravel Vacuum Head

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sbt47Tg6_A

This head comes with an adapter that will fit on the Pond Vac II Classic style poles.

The Gravel Vacuum Head works best with the Power-Cyclone because the Power-Cyclone is very strong.

It will work with the small vacuums but please understand there is less power on these vacs and typically about a 40 second vacuum 20 second drain out cycle.

When using the Gravel Vacuum Head there are too applications:

-It can be used just to clean the surface of the gravel and will work well for this application.

-It can also be used to deep clean gravel up to 2 inches deep. For this application it will require more patience due to the strength of the vacuum and time of on/off cycle. It will work but for deep cleaning the Head needs to stay in one spot for 20 to 30 seconds at time. So it will only be able to deep clean one section of gravel per on/off cycle.
