  • From the plate to the longest part of the discharge end it is approximately 5 1/8"
  • “2" is the outside diameter of the scupper. The inside diameter is approximately 1-3/4". So, the "walls" of the scupper are about 1/8" thick. The outside of the pipe is 2" and on the opening at the end it flares out a little bit so that is approximately 2.5" across.

Customer Question:

You mentioned that it's not meant for salt or chlorine, is that due to the living finish on the scupper? The client has a salt water pool and they along with the interior designers really like the scuppers and knows that it will patina over time. They want that antique-y look to it, if we were to put it in salt water, would it corrode or would the finish just come off?

Easy Pro Answer:

Actually, swimming pools are a fairly common application for the BWS2F scupper. Of course, high concentrations of chlorine or salt water should be avoided, but once again, these scuppers tend to hold up well in swimming pool applications

Customer Question:

Quick question. Do you have a mounting height recommendation for the scupper above the water line?

Easy Pro Answer:

This is also a good question. I actually checked with Phil and Jake on this one. Between the three of us the general consensus is that those can be installed as high as they'd like. The biggest concern when installed outdoors is that the higher up they are set the more the wind can push the water back into the wall. Another concern is that the stream will get narrower the farther it falls. Pumps with higher flow rates for taller heights would help with that a little bit too. If they're wanting a 2-3 inch "clean sheet" out of the flat/square scuppers, that's where staying under 4' would provide a better looking flow pattern
