Frequently Asked Questions:

Question: I am getting some moisture inside my lens cap. I have tried tightening it as tight as I can but am still getting a little moisture inside the lens cap.

Answer: Aquascape Tech says that moisture inside the lens can be caused by over-tightening. This causes the gaskets to become compressed which may allow moisture in. Try unscrewing the lens cap and re-screw in tightly but not overly tight.

PondMeister Note: Around the beginning of 2013, Aquascaqpe made a "soft product change" to the 3 watt and 6 watt lights to correct the drivers on these lights. Please note the "little white pillars" on the new bulbs. These indicate the new-style lights and bulbs. The new bulbs are completely compatible with the old fixtures.

Customer Question: I am looking for 3 watt light bulbs for the aquascape pond lights that we installed in Dec 2010. They look similar to your item 98490. I ordered them from someone else but they had 2 plastic "nubs" on the bulb base by the pins. Mine do not have that. The light bulb I need has a base that is flat with only the pins. Do you have any bulbs like this that would fit my units?

Aquascape Answer: Yes, there were two versions of bulbs. The first one did not have the two pins at the bottom. When people would unscrew the lens cap the bulb would grab on the rubber gasket twisting the bulb breaking the pins off causing issues especially if the light was on. The factory added the two pins to prevent that. Where the light "socket" is screwed into the fixture there are two screws, those two pins on the bulb are meant to rest or go where the two screws are and it will fit and work fine. Yes, the fixture didn't change, he just needs to line the bulb up with the two screws, place the two pins on the bulb with the two screws
