Black Magic Taro has burgundy stems with leaves that depending on the amount of sunlight the taro is getting can range from green to a dark plum color appears black. 

The leaves are heart shaped grow up to 3 feet in length. This taro grows about 2' to 3' tall and performs best when planted in partial shade, although it will tolerate full sun. 

Black Magic Taro is a perfect accent plant for the edge of the pond. In cold regions, over winter as a houseplant or lift tubers and store in a frost free area.

 Black Magic Taro is best planted in 5 gallon or larger containers. It does best when planted in partial shade, but will tolerate full sun if given plenty of water.  

This variety is an Aquatic that typically grows as an Annual/Perennial, which is defined as a plant that can matures and completes its life cycle over the course of one year or more.
