Cyprio 500 Perforated Tube - 500perftube
Question: How do I know if my BioForce is Pre-2002 or Post-2002?
Answer: The only Bio Force filters that it really makes a difference are 500 and 1000. If the filter media inside both units is one piece, it is pre 2002. If the filter pads are 2 pieces for the 500 and 3 pieces for 1000, then it is post 2002. The Bio Force 2000 has always had 3 pieces to complete it's filter pads.
Question: I cannot remember the order of the filters for my BioForce 2000
Answer: Coarse on bottom, medium in middle and fine on top.
Question:Will the 2000 Quartz Tube 1524 work with Pre2002 and Post 2002 BioForce 2000's?
Answer: The 1524 will work on both. If pre 2002, they simply take the back plastic piece off the end off the tube. If post 2002, the black plastic piece is used to attached the tube. So, the same quartz tube will work on both
Cyprio Hozelock Pond Filter Parts
-
Hozelock Cyprio manufactures BioForce UVC Pond Filters designed to keep your pond fresh by treating the water with a foam-sleeve filter and an ultraviolet bulb. The unit comes in different sizes, ranging from 250- to 4,000-gallon capacities, to suit your needs. These filter parts are the same for all, but come in different sizes. Verify the size and model number of your filter when ordering parts.
Canister
-
The filter canister is the body of the unit and houses the filter sleeve with the lid on top.
UV Lamp
-
The lamp goes on the top of the unit and treats the water with ultraviolet rays. This treatment improves the clarity of the water by killing algae growth and harmful bacteria.
O-Ring Seals
-
These washer rings form a watertight seal wherever anything is attached to the filter canister, such as lids and plumbing lines. Install them as you assemble the unit.
Cleaning Indicator
-
The red button on top of the unit is a cleaning indicator that pops up when the filter needs cleaning.
Inlet and Outlet Connections
-
These connections are transitional in that the tapered head allows them to connect more easily to varying sizes of hoses. They are located on top of the unit.
Lid and Clips
-
The lid is the removable top that caps the canister. This lid is attached by seven clips to clamp it to the canister, holding it in place.
Foam Filters
- BioForce filters are foam sleeves. These sleeves filter the water with beneficial bacteria that accumulates on the bottom third of the filter sleeve and through the foam itself. The foam filter fits inside the canister when the lid is removed.

Question:
My old BioForce 1000 had a DeSludge tube which is now missing. What does it do?
Answer:
I only remember it on the early models. These units did not have
the cleaning indicator. The spot where these indicators are on the lid, there
was a screw off cap. When you wanted to back flush, you took the cap off and
turned on your pump. The tube that the lady is missing was mounted under this
hole in the lid. It would allow dirty water from the bottom of the tank to flow
up pipe and out the top of the lid. Usually a hose was screwed on to this
opening and dirty water could be pumped away from pond. This pipe is not needed
for regular use of filter, only when back flushing.
