Question: Can all of your scuppers be used in Chlorinated Pool water?

Manufacturer Response:

Our scuppers can be used in Chlorinated Pool Water as long as they get cleaned and waxed regularly. Depends on the exposure, once or twice every 3-4 weeks.

Steps to clean - Use a used green kitchen scrubby to remove the existing Verde and/or dark spots, a soft scrub brush will help, don’t worry about wearing through the finish in that area, just shine up the affected parts and clean the Verde and/or dark spots off.

Do not use chemicals, maybe some toothpaste. Yes, toothpaste. Bronze metal cleaner also works, you can find lots of them in Home Depot.

Next step is to rinse it clean and give it a little spray of a clear coat. Just normal spray can matte clear. I don’t know if you have a Rustoleum brand, but it you do, it will work fine.

After it dries a day or two, wax it with car wax. Nothing special, just a coat plain car wax every now and then. And you can do that process every now and then as necessary and the scuppers and finish will last for a long-long time.
