Customer Question:
What did I do wrong?
Grower Answer:
Usually yellowing of leaves like that means it needs fertilizer - and sunlight - and 70 degree water temp day and night. Also good time for water testing -- Freshwater that is highly acidic or too alkaline in pH can limit the growth and vitality of water hyacinths. It may not kill the plants, but can cause yellowing leaves because the inhospitable pH levels prevent nutrient uptake by the roots. Water additives, pond liners or submerged materials may alter water pH.

Ordered 6 of these. Arrived in perfect condition. Well packaged. Very healthy looking. Soaked them in bucket of pond water for 2 days in a shaded area, then placed in pond.
