To use your Feedometer:

Your Feedometer consists of 3 parts.
a. Feedometer
b. Floater attachment
c. Lanyard tie down

Unscrew the bottom cap of the Feedometer. (This is the small end of the sensor shaft, opposite the end with the light.)

Place 2 AA batteries into the end of the Feedometer.

Please note the direction of the batteries as printed on the side of the shaft. Replace the end cap and screw it on snugly.

The light should begin blinking approximately every 3 seconds.

The Feedometer should be placed into the top of the dome section of the floater attachment.

It will fit snugly. If desired, tie the lanyard cord onto the bottom of the Feedometer.

There is a lanyard tie-down loop specifically for this purpose.

Place your Feedometer into the desired location in your pond.

You may tie it down to a rock or other object in or around your pond to keep it in a desired location.

d. The indicator light on the top of your Feedometer will flash green when pond temperature is 50 F (10 C) or higher.

This means it is ok to feed your Koi and Goldfish.

The indicator light will change to red when the temperature of your pond drops below 50F (10C).

The Fish Feedometer is for temporary, seasonal use in ponds.

It should be removed from the pond during summer and winter.

After the temperature in your pond has changed for the season to either a "feed" or "don't feed" status, remove the Feedometer from the pond.

Wipe it down with a clean soft cloth, remove the batteries and store it in a dry, clean area.

As Spring or Fall approaches again, install the batteries, place in your pond and watch for the temperature status.

Precautions:
Not intended for Year-round use. Remove from pond after temperature has stabilized to "feed status" or "do not feed status" for more than 1 week.

Do not let Feedometer freeze into pond.

Always remove batteries when not in use.
