Customer Question:

With the Gray Drake Garden Pond is it possible to create a water fall or out flow into a lower pond ? It looks as though one end maybe shaped to allow water to flow out it the liner is bedded to with a downward pitch toward the out flow.

Manufacturer Answer:

Yes you can use the Gray Drake as a cascade. Using a knife or scissors you can cut open the end that you are talking about with no problems to allow the water to flow out and into another pool.

Customer Question:

Hi, I bought a Flex Garden Pond - Preformed Garden Pond in a Box from you in July. I do not have any fish in it. Can you tell me how to winterize it? Should I drain it or leave water in it? Do I need to keep water out of it during the freezing months? I live in NJ.

Manufacturer Answer:

Tell him to leave the water in, it won’t hurt anything, and keep the top of the pond open, don’t lay anything flat or heavy over it. When the water freezes it will expand and as long as it can move upwards it will be fine

Customer Question:

I'm interested in the Gray Drake Flex Pond. I'm doing something that's alittle off beat with the Pond. First of all, can you tell me the Diameter of the Hole at the Bottom? Now here's my main question. I want to put a Real Fire Hydrant down in the Hole of the Pond. The Hydrant will be Bolted to Concrete under the Pond. My plan is to Cut the Pond at the bottom of the Hole and slide the material up and possibly use a very large Hose Clamp to secure the pond material around the Hydrant Base. The Main part of my question is, is the material pliable to cut and conform around the base of the Hydrant? Would Roof Tar work good to Seal all the Area where I cut and if the Roof Tar would adhere to the Pond

Manufacturer Answer:

This pond is made using a rubber and plastic mixture so that our pond can be rolled up or flattened to reduce shipping costs. The very bottom area of this pond is approximately 10” x 11”. You asked about cutting the bottom out and using some of the remaining area to come up the sides of you fire hydrant so you can clamp and also use tar. The material should be flexable enough to do this and the tar should help to seal but naturally I cannot guarantee this. Rubber is flexable so as long as you can secure this with your clamp and prevent movement then you should be fine.
