Failure right out of the box

Replaced another deicer from Tetra which leaked. Installed this one and it failed in a couple of hours. It appears that these China made units have a quality problem.

Herco Pond - Mixed Feelings

I bought this product and expected it to create a thick rubber membrane over my concrete pond surface. The job seemed to go ok, until I got to the amount to use on my pond. I was told 3 coats on top of one coat of primer. Well, it also says that I will get 80-100 square feet per gallon. Once I started spreading, it became quite clear that I needed more material than the calculation described. So, I had to almost double my order, which really sucked. However, the product is working still (6 months later) and seems pretty good. Not to happy with the sales, but the product is good.

My experience with Highland Rim tablets is they tend to go powdery between the time they go under water and get to the soil in the container where the lilys are planted. This is not true of every tablet but a good portion of them out of 36 that I ordered. Many of them turned to powder before even being taken out of the bag they came in.

K&H 50W Bird Bath De-icer

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I purchase one years ago and it lasted 2 seasons. I bought another and it lasted one relatively mild winter in central Ohio. Assumed a defect but since I purchased it 13 months prior to failure...NO WARRANTY despite fact it was only used 3 months. Being a slow learner, purchased another this past summer for this winter. Woke this morning to a frozen, broken bird bath after a low of 23 degree. Yet another failure after 4 months. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

IonGen Parts and Support

Hi Jose,
You can most certainly buy ALL Replacement parts for the IonGen.
Looks like you did not buy the IonGen from us.
Did you have the original Generation One IonGen with the Green Control Panel.?
If you had the original Gen One Control Panel, the wire was actually part of the Control Panel and you had to have Aquascape replace the whole Control Panel which they did graciously.
They corrected two of the weaknesses of the Gen One Panel when they came out with the Gen Two Panel almost two years ago. A small percentage of the Gen One panels had a condensation problem with moisture inside the Control Panel and also had a corrosion issue where the wire from the Control Panel was inserted with a telephone-jack-type of connection to the probe. Both of these required replacement of the Control Panel which Aquascape went way beyond the one year warranty period by replacing.
The easiest replacement now is to get a Generation Two Control Panel (Part#95017) for $95.98 (Three Year Warranty now – they have made them bulletproof!) and the Conversion Wire #95018 which connects the new Control Panel to the original Gen 1 Probe (#98881). If you need more distance in your wires, they even have Quick-connects on all the wires so you can use the 25’ Extension Cables #98998 for $11.98.
The secret to getting One to Three years out of the probes is to set the setting at the lowest setting where you still can get rid of all the string algae.. For my 6,000 gallon pond here in sunny Southern California, that means a setting of One between October and late February and Two or Three (out of 10) for the rest of the year. The probes are $95.98 and have Free Shipping.
Please call me if you still have any questions – I cannot imagine a pond without an IonGen after Four years of zero string algae….

Happy!

my new ion gen2 has only been in my pond for a couple of weeks....and I can see the algae disappearing slowly. I don't want to kill my fish so I've set it at 6. In the first couple of days I could see the algae dying on the waterfall....and now I can see a huge difference in the algae all over the pond. It's not all gone as yet.... but I can see it going away. I was going to fill that hole in with dirt this year....I was so overwhelmed with that damn algae I am so happy....I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Great product..well worth the cost of it. thank you!!!!

Kill A Watt P4400

I have owned this item for several years now and it has always operated without issues. I find it very useful for checking the Hz cycle on a generator. Great tool to have around to check out electrical issues.

poor workmanship - Leak magnet

The coupling that attaches to the koi toilet has a heat sink mark and injection point at the center of the coupling. This would obvioulsy be a leak - I have been unable to get a replacement through warranty replacement.

I repotted all my water lilies 2 days ago and there is still so much clouding in the water I can’t see my fish. The product info says there should be no clouding so I am worried something is wrong.

??more info

Why can't it explain more about what it does and how and where to install it? I want to buy this product but the lack of info
Makes me wonder why there's no reviews or more info from others wether it works , lasts, or does the job it claims to?

man in barrel spitter

I received today and I love it. Setting it up
I made a big mistake on trying to force hand over barrell and broke it. I'm going to try and glue but I'm telling this so others aren't as quick to get it set up and be as dumb as I was.
I'll hopefully be able to repair. I had quick shipping service and quick response to questions.
Thank you Aquascape

Mangkala Ubul - Hardy Peach Water Lily

This plant arrived about a month ago. The tuber was larger than I expected, with many roots and two large leaves. As of the beginning of April it has 8 leaves and I can't wait for it to bloom!

Pond details: About 40 gallons, on the south-facing porch of an apartment. Large gravel, about 4" deep is the base. The water lily shares the pond with cattails and other native plants that I have collected.

Works great

I have the previous version of this pond vacuum. I purchased it approximately 5 years ago and it is still going strong. It has a lot of vacuum power and even with all of the hose pieces attached to reach the middle of the pond, it still sucks up leaves and debris with ease. I highly recommend it!

Aladin Pond Skimmer

It's great when it works but clogs very easily and then your pump runs dry and then you are in danger of seizing up your pump. Also - the skimmer part that bounces is too tight and it stops working too.

Nualgi

I was very sceptical about this product. Started putting it in my pond in March. Nothing changed until June when the weather got hot then suddenly it was clear! It has remained clear too, haven’t needed to add nualgi weekly either , am dosing every 3 weeks which seems sufficient to keep the water crystal clear. At last I can see my fish Which seem very happy 😊
